Rounding up of 2011

2011 got busy, didn't have much time to blog down everything this year, might have missed out some event here. So let's say no more, here is the list of our events in year 2011.

January

First road trip north up, we explored Malacca. Malacca is a cultural flavorful town, we tried the famous chicken rice ball, Portuguese's curry debal, Portuguese's baked fish, Dutch chicken croquette, Dutch cassava fries, Capitol lok lok satay steamboat, Chichalok egg and the Mind-boggling choice of Nonya Kueh from Baba Charlie Nyonya Cake. Visit the Crist Church (built between 1741 and 1753 by the Dutch)and St.Pauls Church (built in 1521 by the Portuguese).

Reshma brought us to Jaggi's, another north Indian restaurant.

June

Watched Lion King the musical at MBS
Honeymoon and my bday trip in Europe, an amazing place we will like to visit again. We missed the duomo in Milan and the Pisa tower we pushed. Full album not publish yet.
Day 1 - Explore Italy by our own, visited Spanish step.
Day 2 - Visited Fontana di Trevi, Spanish steps again, Colosseum and St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.

July

Purchased our first Tag couple watch
Booked first family trip to bring my mum oversea, to Beijing.
Rebonded my hair to tatoo my eyebrow
Tried frozen Hokkaido crab, it's fantastic! Chilled one should be even better, cant wait to visit Hokkaido.

August

Revamped my study room
Visited MIL in Jakarta for the weekend in her new apartment

Day 1 - Mum excited about flying
Day 2 - Visited 国家大剧院 The Egg, 天安门, Forbidden City 紫禁城, 同仁堂, 胡同, Summer Palace 颐和园 and Night market in 王府井.
Day 3 - 明十三陵 Ming Tomb, The Great Wall of China 居庸关,Beijing Olympic stadium then cab down to 王府井 again to look for 全聚德.
Day 4 and 5 - 天坛 Temple of heaven, 贡茶院 then F&E in Beijing shopping district 西单.

November

Started Cherry KoKo korean wear spree in office
Baby Guinevere's 1st Month Birthday
Department team bonding day, we went to Gold Class.
Tried out a 7 day GM diet program with office ladies and i did lost 2kg.

December

Luxury fragrant and skin care spree by a helpful excolleague.
Celebrate PY birthday with XXL pizza at Pepperoni Pizzeria at BinJai Park
Finally make use of the Shangarila voucher at The Line for our five and a half year anniversary.
Received the most memorable Xmas gift exchange (from my boss).
Xmas meet up with Alanis and Ting at Hippopotamus, we had so many gift to exchange.
Hearty Xmas celebration at home with my love
Picked up The husband's Xmas gift / new pet, sustainable shrimp.

2011 is a blessed and 2012 will be better, we know that for sure.

A simple Christmas meal for our family

Frozen mango yogurt (froyo) cake. Max satisfactory, less guilt and a very healthy digestive system. LOL

More froyo and less cake, yeah! Taste like mango sorbet, i cant stop eating it.

Next time i will ask for less cream though it's delish too.

End the night coughing on our sofa watching HBO with champagne from hubby's client, just the two of us.

The mango sherbet from Ben and Jerry is so good, we ordered a second portion.

Anniversary at Shangrila The Line

We finally made use of our $200 Shangrila voucher i won from food review on insing.com about a year ago. We went to The Line on Wednesday for Seafood night to celebrate our five and a half year anniversary.

I learned my mistake from Phuket Hilton experience, i attack the seafood counter first this time. Oyster freshly open when you order, we ordered a dozen of them that night.

Shells are not that fantastic when they are ice cold, crab topped of our list that night.

Free flow of sparkling wine or any beverage for seafood night.

Bill come out to be $208 for two, so we only topped up $8 for this sumptuous meal.

Time flies, we are together for more than half a decade. Things has been great, thank you for sticking around. XOXO wifey.

Hai Bin

Hai Bin with Setho this time, 2 rod caught 23 steal 7. Yes we steal 7, someone caught it, BBQ it and left them on the BBQ pit.

The husband's skill is horrible in front of Setho.

Humid House

My petite dehumidifier collected 200ml of water in my guest room after running for one day! Do you guys staying in bukit merah area face such problem?

Mookata

A place i would recommend for steamboat. Instead of our usual "cheena" steamboat we find around bugis area why not try the Thai steamboat place Mookata at east coast road along the stretch of shop houses where ASTON's is located.

Mookata is quite well known in Thailand and Malaysia, this is their first outlet on our sunny island. I loves their creative charcoal steamboat pot, it's concave so the juice of the meat will flow right down into the soup. Holes on the curve to allow the mild charcoal smoke add the extra smoky touch to your meat. And their not to be missed Thai dipping sauce is so appetizing with almost everything.

They are reasonably priced and they also offer buffet during weekdays.
